Fashionable Decorating Ideas

Recently, I've been slowing re-decorating my room and living room. I like doing small projects such as this, it makes things fun! I've taken a few photos of things I've put together, or bought to accentuate who I am. Below are photos of what I've been working on and directions or steps I took. I hope you enjoy looking through these, have fun and if you have any questions, let me know! :)

First, is my bedroom...

This little wooden picture is from Walmart, it was only $3.99

So, this used to be a frame set that I'd gotten from a thrift store. All I did was take it apart and put only the black frames on my wall. I used clear/see-through push pins to hold them up and then set a few photos on them.

I got this amazing earring holder from Icings! It was on sale for $13.99, originally $40.00 :)

I bought two fake flowers from Walmart and a plastic vase on sale for $4.99. Since the stems on the flowers are really long, I bent them in half and wrapped them around each other. If you want to do something like this, I recommend only getting one or two flowers, so it's not too much.

I bought this lamp about 6 months ago at Target, it was also on sale for $9.99. Last month I wanted to change it up, so I took an old flower ponytail I never wear and cut the rubber band part off, then sewed the flower into the fabric of the lamp. I used black string.

This is hanging up in my kitchen. This is also a small wooden frame like the one above (the pink sun flower), it was also purchased at Walmart.

Second, is my living room. I've had the walls decorated like this for the last year and a half, but I add on every few months.

I've had this retro Audrey Hepburn Poster for a while. It was purchased at Target, and is hanging on the wall in my living room.

To add to the retro style of old Hollywood, I purchased this James Dean picture from Blockbuster, and it hangs above the television in the living room. The quote is "Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today".

This very chic picture is my roommies. I love the red heels in it with the leopard print. It hangs above the couch.

I've had this for a while. I purchased the table from Target (awesome store!), and it's not very tall, but it holds the lamp and a few trinkets. The lamp has that retro-style I love, so I purchased it from Target as well. The trinkets I got from the dollar store; there's a black/ cream colored vase and a ceramic purse with string beads for the handle.

This is a new addition! My boyfriend put this together for me :) I found this really tall book case at Walmart, for $29.99. I needed a space for ALL my movies and tv shows. It adds a lot to the look of the living room and there's a few decorations as well. One is some blocks from the Quilted Bear, they are Valentine's oriented. The pink one says "Be Mine" and the white block says "Be My Valentine". The small tile says "Love Laughter and Friendship always welcome here".

The pillow on my black pleather couch is from Target, it was pricey, but I had to have it for the theme of the living room.

As you can see, I had more pink pillows on this couch. If you haven't already noticed, the theme in my living room is retro old Hollywood with the main colors being pink and black.

Here is a view of the living room from my kitchen.

And a view from where the bookcase is. :)

New Beginnings!

So, this is my new blog! I really love fashion and everything about it, so here's a blog about everything I know--my fashion sense. There'll be photos, advice, hair styles, etc. I'm going to research so those of you who want to read this blog will get new ideas and enjoy my advice/ information!

Below is a website I currently love, where I can find affordable clothing, jewelry, make up, etc. at affordable prices, and the merchandise is modest as well as fabulous!!

Forever21.com
I love this store! I love the huge selection of jewelry they have and it's all VERY affordable. They always have sales going on and there's a large variety of clothes to choose from. If you shop from the website, they have a sales section and a Fabulous Finds section you can shop from! Here's a few photos of some things I recently purchased:

These earrings were $4.80!!

This necklace was under $5

This beautiful necklace was $7.80 :)

These cute tea time petal earrings were $4.80 and they go with almost every outfit I have!

These heart rhinestone earrings were a fabulous find on the website, only $2.80!

I bought these rings in a set at the location in Salt Lake at the Gateway for $3.80

This cute cardigan was on sale on the website for $11.99, originally $29.99!

Here's a few items I have on my wish list:

This adorable cardigan sweater is about $30 right now, but if I wait long enough, the price will go down and it'll be on sale!

These flats are only a whopping $10.99, so next time I order I will definitely get these! I could always use more flats for work :)

This set of bangles is too cute

So, I want this, but it's fabric is tweed and I'm not sure if it'd bother me or not. So this is one I have to think on, but it's on sale :)

If you know me, you know I love long flowy shirts and this one screams my name ;)

I love the black flowers on this shirt! And as you can see, it's totally modest and it's long, no problem there! :)
